Economic and Trade Co-operation Forum between Shaanxi and Austria held in XHTZ

On June.2nd, - an Economic and Trade Co-operation Forum was held between, Shaanxi (China ) and Tyrol (Austria) in XHTZ. Mr Jing Junhai, Vice-Governor of Shaanxi and Mr. J. Bodenseer, Dir of the Tyrolean Economy and Commerce Department, addressed the audience of the forum and introduced the Shaanxi and Tyrolean activities, respectively. Leading officials for foreign affairs of Shaanxi Province, and Mr. Liu Ming-hua, Vice- Dir of XHTZ's Management Committee, also participated in the forum.

Mr Jing Jun-hai expressed pleasure on the formation of the forum during his address and highlighted that Shaanxi is one of the important western provinces in China. It is not only the cradle of Chinese Culture, but also a Province with advanced technology education abilities, a good industrial basis, and shows abundant resource advantages. He also portended the large and important tourism and production Region of Tyrol in Austria, which is a most energetic Federal Austrian State, where economic improvement is thriving quicker than in other areas. Its industrial activities being complementary to those of Shaanxi offer excellent opportunities to co-operate with Shaanxi. Consequently, there is a large potential for commercial and industrial exchange on both sides. He hopes therefore that enterprises of both sides can communicate, come to know each other more deeply, become business friends, and co-operate well in order to share benefits to develop together.

Mr Bodenseer described the advantages of Xi'an City during his address. With enough development potential, the State developed quickly and has proven to be successful. Both Austria and Shaanxi have established a communication platform during past years aiming at offering good development conditions to strengthen co-operation and communication between both sides.  He, therefore, hopes both sides will avail of existing opportunities to mutual benefits.

Mr Liu Minghua also welcomed the Tyrolean Delegation visiting XHTZ, and stressed that Austria Government's policy to promote international industrial and trade activities as an answer to the global economic crisis. Against the backdrop of its new economic system was a wise decision.

Tyrol is an important economic partner of Shaanxi Province. Trade and Investment co-operation developed quickly during the passed years, so that co-operation activities have became more intense. Leaders and other officials of Shaanxi Province visited Austria nearly 11 times and were welcomed by Austrian Commerce Department and other Organizations. Austria also sent their visitors 12 times to Shaanxi to meet high-ranked officials of Shaanxi Province. Both sides should keep pursuing their contacts.

China, on its side, is aware of its important role to provide support for an eventual mastering of the economic crisis. The Chinese Government, consequently, proffers advantageous opportunities to foreign enterprises enabling development of their businesses in co-operation with Chinese peer enterprises.

XHTZ, as an important high-tech industrial development base, particularly,   is now about to build up an international technology park. He hopes each side recognizes its opportunities and is prepared to realize win-win situation via good communication and deeper co-operation.

When managers of Austria Xi'an Eldra Magnet Wire Co had explained the co-operation situation in Shaanxi Province, and upon Shaanxi side's encouragement to a friendly co-operation, enterprises of both sides had business discussions with each other.
